Our community here at Siena loves music. Some days, you can hear a community members playing a tune on the grand piano in the living room, or even the voices of our own Siena Choir!
Did you know that the health benefits of singing are not only psychological, but also physical? Singing has physical benefits because it is an aerobic activity that increases oxygenation in the blood stream and exercises major muscle groups in the upper body, even while sitting. By increasing our oxygenation we also have greater mental awareness. Even better than singing a tune on your own, when we sing together with a group of people we have a sense of community, belonging and a shared endeavor.

Siena offers group exercise or chair yoga each morning, five days a week. Many of us find that putting on some good tunes and exercising with our peers offers a great support system and better success of reaching the goals we desire.
